Springfield Wesley Alumni
Julie Watrous
Well, I've officially
survived almost half a quarter of teaching fifth grade! I have
a class of 24 wonderful students, who of course think I'm the
coolest teacher they've ever had. :) But seriously, I have a
really great class and although it is tons of work, and I don't
do much but work, think about school, and sleep...it's still
great. It's already very rewarding to work with these young
people and I know it will even get more rewarding as time goes
by. Just in case you didn't catch it on my last post, I'm living
and working back home in Webb City, still commuting to Columbia
every so often to see Adam...and hoping that will change before
too much longer! Ashlee and I would love to hear from everyone,
or have visitors any time (except school nights of course!)

I have moved back
to my hometown of Webb City, MO, where I'll be teaching fifth
grade at the middle school. I should have a class of about 25
students, and I'll teach every subject but specialize in social
studies. Ashlee Holmes and I have an apartment together, so
we are continuing the roommate tradition. I have gotten re-involved
in my home church here in WC, where I am in the process of starting
a much-needed young adult fellowship group. I'm also excited
to be serving on a conference-wide team to get young adults
more involved in the UMC, so if anyone has a great idea please
let me know! Anyway, my life for at least the next year will
be pretty much revolving around school and church. But remember,
we still are only about an hour away from Springfield, so visitors
are welcome! The best way to reach me is at juliawatrous@hotmail.com,
or my current address and phone are in the hands of the Wesley
officers.
