Favorite Bible Verse: Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do"
Background: Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, I moved to Saint Louis when I was 17. God has really challenged me through out my life, and there have been times where I didn't want anything to do with him. But every time, God always found somthing or someone to bring me back into his loving arms, and I pray that I can have that same impact on others who are struggling in their Christian walk.
Importance of Wesley: Wesley has been the constant the helped me through my college life. Its a place where I feel I can truely be myself and praise the Lord with all my heart and soul. Wesley also provides a group of strong Christians who are always willing to support you in your Christian walk.
Favorite Pie Flavor: Tie between Cherry and Apple

Vice President,

Favorite Bible Verse: Matthew 5: 13You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 14You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
Background: I was born in Illinois and have since moved around a lot to land me in St. Charles, MO for the last 5 years until I came to Springfield. Moving has been a big part of my life, and God has really used these experiences to shape who I am today. I’ve always been really involved in the Methodist church and I’m really passionate about all the things going on there. Ever since I went on my first chrysalis flight, I’ve really been seeking a relationship with Christ, and I’ve grown so much with Christ since then.
Importance of Wesley: I felt like it was the natural thing to do to get involved with wesley as a freshman. I wasn’t really interested in greek life sororities, but I was interested in finding people who I could be really great friends with and who really loved Christ.
Favorite Pie Flavor: Key Lime

Spiritual Mentor

Name: Andy Blacksher
Major/Year: Communications??? (ask me sometime), Sophmore
Email: blacksher14@missouristate.edu
Favorite Verse: Philippians 1:6 "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Matthew 28:20b "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Background: My family lives in Carthage, MO... so that's pretty much where I came here from. My mom is the church administrative assistant (I think that means secretary) at FUMC in Carthage while my dad is currently attending seminary in Tulsa and pastoring Byers Avenue UMC in Joplin, MO. Also in my family are my two dogs... oops, I mean my 9 year-old sweetheart puppy dog Elle and my wonderful younger brother Ethan (17) who conviniently landed a job at Domino's Pizza in Carthage.
I played soccer, ran track, and played the clarinet and piano in high school. I am an assistant soccer coach at Jarret Middle School, and I play the keyboard in the praise band at Asbury UMC where my uncle is the pastor. Hmmm... there was something else...
Importance of Wesley: Wesley has been a place where I've had the chance to both grow and struggle in my faith as well as in the relationships that I've found.
Favorite Flavor of Pie:
Ok, #1: I don't turn down pie... period.
#2: If I'd have to choose, I'd say anything with loads of chocolate.
#3: I just thought about it, and #1 was a lie... I hate apricot pie... but that might be all.

Major/year: Public Relations, 2009
Email: Elizabet204@MissouriState.edu
Favorite Bible Verse: "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Background: I am from Neosho, Mo and graduated in 2005. I was very involved in 4-H, along with school activities and dance.
Importance of Wesley: I really enjoy having fun with all of the amazing people and it helps me have faith when times are trying.
Favorite pie flavor: Cherry Pie

Social Chair

Name: Greg Leuthen
Major/Year: Broadcast Journalism - Senior
E-Mail: Bluezfan85@hotmail.com
Favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 17:17 "A friend loves at all times." This sounds simple enough, but "all times" requires forgiveness, patience, and understanding, three qualities that are essential every friendship.
Background: I spent my entire childhood in St. Louis before spending 2 years in Cape Girardeau and transferring to Missouri State. St. Louis is awesome, but I'm definitely enjoying the "semi-small town" experience that is Springfield. No matter where you want to go, it's less than 15 minutes away, what a concept! And since I love participating in any sports or game, I'm pretty much always available to go bowling for 1 dollar or mini golfing for 2...gotta love your small town inexpensive entertainment. I love watching sports as well, so you'll have to excuse me if I don't answer my phone on Sundays during the NFL season. I apparently love cats, although I wasn't aware of this until this summer. If you want to know more, just ask...or you could do the noble thing and look at my facebook page :)
Importance of Wesley: I came to Missouri State my Junior year and knew absolutely no one. I went to one of the Wesley social events and immediately formed great friendships with some of the people there. I've been able to open up to these friends and talk with them about anything and everything on my mind. They made me feel very comfortable and welcome in my new home town. Wesley also helped me grow spiritually. I had not been actively growing in my faith since high school, but Wesley was a spiritual outlet I found to aid my relationship with God. Last year I put more into my relationship with God than I ever had before. I'm very much looking forward to another great year at Wesley in '07-'08.
Favorite Pie Flavor: Ok, this is not even close, it's Pumpkin Pie. More specifically, my Mom's pumpkin pie. Apple pie would be my choice as the distant runner up to the goodness that is pumpkin pie.
